Hi all, I'm hoping for some lived experience advice. I've read older threads about this and can't seem to find anything similar. I have an EGR Fault code P049B-00 appear and my EML is amber. I've had the DPF checked and it's not damaged and is reading relatively low so the consensus is now that this is the EGR Valve. Question is; is it the high pressure valve or the low pressure valve? JLR have quoted ÂŁ952 to replace and as it's a 4x4 I understand it's a bigger job. I've only got 43K on the clock so it seems poor but I understand this is a common problem even though JLR won't admit it. My next question is, has anyone tried to clean it using something like JLM or Revive turbo cleaner. Seen a few productive videos online and it seems the Evoque has these 2 inlets so they seem to indicate I need 2 bottles to do the job correctly - I'm going to ask my mechanic to do it - I'm not planning on attempting it myself. Reason for this is a; possibly reduced cost which might be effective, b; low pressure EGR valve is on back order so could be weeks away from JLR as it's a dealer part only and c; my MOT is due so it would fail - I'm wondering if I can at least get it part clean and the EML off it would tide me over until the part can be replaced. Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Ive used this occasionally in mine, Archoil-AR6400-D-Professional-Cleaner-Concentrate, supposed to help free a sticky EGR.

Bonjour
I've get same default P049B , i think it should be only LR126126 Filter in Lower EGR , but it 's a big job to get it out.
for the moment i still driving with it , until i find a good mecanician for a good diagnostic...
That's interesting. I've had diagnostics done and they've said LP EGR valve, the filter and the DPF is faulty. I'm waiting for a 2nd opinion. I'm hoping at least part of it is covered on my aftermarket warranty - I dread to think of the cost otherwise. I would trade it in and get something else but I love the car and it's already depreciated by 50% since I bought it 18 months ago.

Here are the result i get with icarsoft 930 Specific for Range and Jaguar
Catalyseur
Test 100% Min 19.99% Max 327.7% Test Pass
Filtre PM ( DPF ) ?

Test 7.2 Kpa Min 1 Kpa Max 655Kpa Test Pass
EGR L1 and L2 (same test)

Test 0.04Kpa Min 0.2 Kpa Max 55.536Kpa Test Fail
it's strange but sometime test is 65.51 Kpa and test is fail also

So i'm quite sure DPF and catlyseur are ok only my EGR filter must be change , i"ve already bought for 29€ , but i don't find any body for change it
