@4ndy Normally only seen around 2014/15 vehicles. Very strange your MY18 had this?

Mine was a slightly unusual car....first registered here in UK in 2018 but was a LHD import so could well have been an older model?
Ah, that makes more sense!

@Wifi75 please see previous posts. I don't believe you will have one.

I believe it could be along the path of the windshield. That is where I found mine (under the hood/bonnet passenger side) -- 2014 model 9 speed.

Wifi75 has a 2018 model which does not have a 2nd battery in the same location as the MY2015 model - yours & mine (if it has one at all?)

I bought the battery (CX2310C655AC) from land rover for about $297 (245 euros). Here are some pictures of the location and tools (10mm for the battery, 13mm for the cross bar, swivel socket, short and long stem attachment, flashlight and flat screw driver). I also used a small box to prop up the cover over top of the battery otherwise you would need to remove the windshield wipers.

Hello, This is my first post here and for anyone reading this thread I wanted to point out some descriptions that could be confusing, or at least confusing to owners searching for solutions to a different problem, also tied to a battery. The terminology here described the battery used for "Start/Stop" as the TSS (twin solenoid starter) battery. But it later migrated to "Auxiliary Battery" or "Aux Battery". Furthermore in the US there is a Technical Service Bulletin that calls the Eco Start/Stop battery parts as: "Dual Battery Junction Box - Part Number LR048786" I wanted to point out that there is another battery called the Auxiliary Battery. So for those with Start/Stop it could be called the second or third. Officially - the part number on my Auxiliary Battery is BJ32-19G207C-AA with the Land Rover label on top of what is a branded Power Sonic PS-1212 12 Volt 1.2 Amp. Hr battery which has uses in Home Alarm systems, powered wheelchairs, other uses. Current PS-1212 is 1.4 Amp Hr. I'm only jumping in because this was one of the first search results I found when searching for "Auxiliary Battery" and "Evoque" in Google - and I found other threads elsewhere talking about the Auxiliary Batter and confusing the two... (The reason I was searching is - error on startup - "transmission fault select park before engine stop" which I think is the same errors in other countries called "gearbox fault select park before engine stop". That battery apparently drives the rising transmission gear knob). Cheers, Bill
Thank you, this is very helpful and I've received the exact error "Gear box fault" as well and wanted to ensure when I change it, it will not interfere with any other components during the change out. Basicjay

2016 models on don't have a secondary battery. They have an AGM main battery
