Hello Gismo,
Have you tried a full recharge of your 12v battery with a charger before trying the update again?
I'ts currently on charge, so, hopeful the update happened during the day, am away to start the car and see if it happened, if not i'll leave the Ctek on overnight and try again in the morning

ok I got fed up about hearing about pivi 4 and my car not about knowing it even though I talk to it and tell it every time I'm in there you can update now don't feel you wait for anyone , so I phoned my local friendly garage and said nothing has shifted since 7th April oh don't worry she said we'll book it in ... are you free wait for it Sept 16th I think it was emmmm getting close to Christmas I need this done before warranty goes but she assures me it will be ..
@Angel Mine is booked in at Sytner in Portsmouth on 20th September as I couldn't get an appointment with my local JLR dealer (Hendy Southampton) until October. It's in for the SOTA update issue as well as a few other things. I've passed on all of the relevant info as part of their "right first time" process inc a bulletin document that @Philippe92FR provided in this thread. It will be interesting to see if they resolve it for us both. 🤞

Just installed Pivi V 4.2.0 SOTA definitely seems to be working OK now.

A few days ago I received 4.1.4, car went into dealership for the 4th time in July stuck on 3.3.2 since 14 Feb 23. Came out on 3.3.2a so looking like they have sorted SOTA failure at last 🤞
I Have the exactly same problem.
I couln’t belive when the dealership in Portugal said to me they don’t have anyway to solve the problem.

Without rereading this entire thread I'm not convinced that failure of SOTA updates necessarily goes hand in hand with failure of OTA map updates or that all dealers are applying identical solutions to customer complaints, particularly those stuck on V3.3.2A. Leaving aside @Blackwolf who eventually convinced them it was a hardware issue, some have had 'wired' updates that have then caused the SOTA server to present further updates, as per Global Service Action N795 (see link posted by @Philippe92FR above) eg @BJD, whilst others eg yourself and @Finalcut have had dealer intervention that has failed to to release further SOTA. updates.
I would suggest pointing them to that specific GSA, N795, and ask them to raise a case with JLR to investigate the failure reason.
I will try to do that when I go the dealership in Setember.

really confused now as im getting some data coming through ... my maps seem to be updating as I'm on the same as @Bluefire65 and it updated on the same day .. just the pivi won't update :( still stuck on 3.3.2A :(
Same here. Stuck on 3.3.2 !

Interesting. Mine has had one update since I bought it, back in Feb 2023, but it's still on 3.3.2. Looks like it's failing to update. Not sure it's worth a special trek to the dealer though - I'll mention it at next service.
Rather to my surprise, the satnav doesn't seem to have updated itself - I thought it was supposed to do so. The car directed me to the LR website, where I had to do it the old fashioned way - spend half an hour downloading latest maps to USB drive, then half an hour uploading it into the car. Again, not a problem, as I usually use Android Auto, but still a bit of a surprise. Must remember to check again before the warranty runs out.
I have the same exact problem.
I’m thinking in buying the IID Tool to update the Telematics module .

Hello Vinnypt,
At some point you will have to authenticate yourself on JLR servers to download the update and push it to the telematics module.
How will you do this?

Hello Philippe,

The Guys at GAP Diagnostics says that we can Re-flash any ECU with the IID Tool:

citing the instruction manual:
"The re-flash module allows the tools to reflash any ECU with updates. The GAP Fast Lane Service ensures that the correct update file for the current software level, hardware, mechanical components, and geographic market is chosen. There is a 25 GBP per ECU administrative charge for non-Pro units to cover the file selection process. This service is free of charge since covered by the annual IIDTool Pro subscription. GAP Fast Lane Service ensures that customers receive the most up-to-date ECU f iles for their vehicle configuration within hours (excluding weekends and holidays). ECU updates already covered in the present IIDTool services (EAS electronic air suspension for example) remain free of charge."

Hello Vinnypt,
On this site by selecting L551 Evoque 2 / 2021 column 2 Ecu Flash in the table is never yes.
Is this normal?
You could ask them why?
So Today I have the answer from Gap Diagnostics.

This was my question:
I have a problem with MY21 evoque on the PIVI Pro. It is stucked in 3.3.2 version, and it does not do the updates via SOTA.
Can I force the update of the Pivi pro to the newest version with the IID Tool ?
Their response:

“This is not supported at the moment. We will eventually work on it but its a long term project.”

So … it seems, for now, the only solution is with the official OBD Tool and the Topix.

Hello Vinnypt,
Indeed there is a very sensitive download area saved by the telematics module.
I know that when a SOTA download does not want to install because of a bad version the JLR technician can erase this area to wait for a new download of a version + 1 from Topix cloud.
There are also authentication certificates with the Topix cloud but I do not know where they are stored.
If I were you I would not do that because it could aggravate your SOTA problem.

By the way I sent you some questions in a private conversation. Did you see it?

Hello Phillipe,

I'm sorry. I just saw your questions.
But I've already answered all the questions. (y)

Just saw this post on a American Forum:

"My Pivi had been stuck on a old version since Feb 2023. Then somebody backed into my front passenger-side fender and bumper area. Front bumper and fender were replaced at a local body shop. (Another interesting experience.) The body shop had to "recalibrate" the sofware for the various sensors (cruise control, parking, lane drift, etc) in the front bumper. The day i picked the truck up Pivi updated. Then it updated a week later. Now, this is update #3 in the 3 weeks since picking up from body shop. Its as if they rattled something loose that was restricting updates for 1.5 years."

Interesting . . .

Another interesting post in the American Forum:

"They told me the same when mine was stuck and wouldn't update late last year.
I removed my account from the profile on the vehicle and recreated it (which is a PITA). Also connected to home wireless when parked overnight and disconnected the cellular network connection in the vehicle (which has poor coverage where I live). Left it for a couple of nights and it updated.
BUT, I was only two versions out of date. Yours is so old it may not update to the latest. But worth trying these steps nonetheless before you make a warranty claim
"

I think I will try this as soon as I have the car back from the Paint shop.

I tried the home wireless connection when I had a problem in my previous car but as soon as Pivi shut down after I exited and locked the car then the wireless connection disconnected according to the device list in my router, which would suggest that the download can only take place when Pivi is live and you stay in range ie before you lock the car or drive off.
