So why ask this question?
The question was directed at the comments of another user (n.b.: directed not at the person, but at what he said, an important distinction).

Comments like those above can leave the impression that JLR's role in this has been no different to other vendors faced with the challenges of EU6. There is a significant body of evidence to the contrary and it is right to challenge all attempts to play down the issue and deflect attention away from JLR's outrageous, and at times aggressive, behaviour. The principle of free speech (without which, incidentally, there are NO civil freedoms) dictates that these fora provide a platform for a multitude of conflicting views.
This way, we allow people to make up their own minds about what it might be like to own a Land Rover.

Nice rant.
(y)
I've got a petrol and I didn't get an umbrella either.
:D
Are Arnold Clark still going ?
They used to have a terrible reputation.
Biggest independent in Europe .... Arnold died a few years ago , other half has. Done work for his now adult children who are involved.. discounts on van etc and played golf on few occasions with his son through a mutual friend , they have bmw , Mercedes , vow franchises now too

Think this issue is always going to throw up different opinions... we need to respect each others thoughts and just advise as each of us see it then people can make there own assumptions.... but bear in mind I’m always right😱😱😱😂😂😂😂even when wrong ...ask you’re wife’s I’m sure they will agree xxx

I don't see how saying that other manufacturers have issues with dilution is an attempt to deflect attention from JLR's handling of the issue.
Maybe they are handling it far better than JLR.?
Nor are people disagreeing that JLR's handling of this has been anything leass than terrible.
I think you are making assumptions regarding other people's motives or opinions.
We are on your side but what appears to be a slap down to anything that diverts from the narrative is a bit strange.

If I had known what I know now I would have still bought one, but I would have definitely gone for a petrol.
Had I also known about the PHEV’s being on the horizon, I would have waited for one of those, although of course, nobody knows what issues await those variants yet 🤔

@rencar I wouldn’t trust a JLR umbrella if I were you, it will probably fail soon and poke you in the eye!

All these DPF & Oil Dilution threads are really sad to read...I know what I’d say to JLR if they wanted me to sign a disclaimer! For some reason I’m sure the new unseen PHEV with its unrested 1.5 engine will bring a whole host of new problems to the fore if the DPF/Oil sagas are anything to go by!

OK, I’ll be Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive Positive...up until I need to be Negative...and I reserve the right to be an outspoken tw@t of the truth should that ever happen! 😜🤪😎😂😭
