It depends on the garage availability at the time.
With previous cars, which have all been petrol, I have tended to go for premium fuel. The RCZ in particular demands the highest octane fuel you can get, so it gets Shell V Power and a shot of Red X petrol treatment every tank.
When I got the Evoque, I started out in the same way with V Power Diesel, but then reading various threads on here, I realised standard diesel with an additive would not only suffice, but also cost far less than premium diesel every tank.
So my approach to looking after my engine & dpf is to do that, but also, now and again give it some premium fuel, usually if I happen to be filling at a shell garage.
Probably no real benefit in doing this, but if it keeps me happy......
Thanks for you clarification. I think I’ll follow the same approach. Cheers

I’d love to join in this conversation guys , will have to ask other half what he puts in my car .... on the rare occasion I’ve had to fill up it’s been a fiver of the cheaper stuff until he takes it to fill up properly 😱

We have had the RCZ 7 years, longest we’ve ever kept a car. The only thing my OH has ever put in that is shopping. I suspect it will go a very similar way with the RRE 🤔

Posted this on another topic . Might be useful

I have a neighbour who specialises in dpf . He says showed me what’s in them and how they get clogged . He also said they not covered by Warrenty normally and they fail more with the newer ad blue also . He’s shown me 19 plate cars with failed dpf . There’s a number of methods to fix . Eg remove and clean . Clean in car. What seems most effective is removing it all together and reprograms the ecu. PM me if you live in south London area I can pass his details on . I would double check they will cover under warranty .

This one does the clean of blocked . But I’m sceptical after seeing the inside of one if this will work. If it’s just blocked and the honeycomb is not fused together or damaged it should work .

I have started using the jml preventative additive to tank every so often .

Dpf blocked forced regeneration by dealer . Is there any additive that would help?
remove the dpf and buy no heat oven cleaner foam spray. and spray both ends of the dpf and keep spraying when foams goes down and keep spraying then pressure wash from the exit end out the front end, air dry and reconnect the dpf. make sure up connect the sensor hose in the correct pipe. high pressure to front of dpf,
