My additive arrived yesterday, I've still got 159 miles worth of 'premium' diesel in the tank but I'm sure I can get at least half a tank full in tomorrow, Let the savings begin!

I have not noticed any difference other than the £16 £11.50 (based on current prices) per tank of fuel still in my pocket.

Thanks a million for you information. As soon as LR solves the rear loud noise of my 500 mile new evoque. I’ll start adding additive to prevent any future issue with DPF and protect the motor as well.

I've just been scribbling down some figures and was quite shocked by what I realised,
Current local price for Super Advanced Diesel is 139.9p per litre, this means for an example tank of 60L it would cost you £83.94,
basic diesel is currently 113.9p per Litre which is £68.34 for60L, so, super is at least £15.60 more expensive per tank, but, if you purchase the AR6900 D Max at £79.96 for 5 Litres (delivered) and based on 60ml per tank added per 60L of diesel it would cost you 96p to treat a 60L tank of diesel compared to the £15.60 extra cost of buying Super advanced diesel.

Needless to say,I've just ordered the additive!

I get 400 miles per full tank (about 40lts. from yellow light to yellow light) never really varied much 5 or so miles either side of this figure.

The bottles say 10 ML per 10 litres of fuel.
My last refuel from when the yellow refuel light came on was just over 55 litres in total.

Just use your noggin and guestimate.

DKZ5745 any special reason why you use alternatively standard diesel with additive and premium diesel?

It depends on the garage availability at the time.
With previous cars, which have all been petrol, I have tended to go for premium fuel. The RCZ in particular demands the highest octane fuel you can get, so it gets Shell V Power and a shot of Red X petrol treatment every tank.
When I got the Evoque, I started out in the same way with V Power Diesel, but then reading various threads on here, I realised standard diesel with an additive would not only suffice, but also cost far less than premium diesel every tank.
So my approach to looking after my engine & dpf is to do that, but also, now and again give it some premium fuel, usually if I happen to be filling at a shell garage.
Probably no real benefit in doing this, but if it keeps me happy......
