My 2015 2,2TD 9speed auto Evoque has quite big vibration coming trough the car interior and especially trough steering wheel. It gets really bad when drive or reverse is selected. It is extremelyannoyingstanding in front of red light car vibrating all over. Dealers said that all cars are same. Idle is around 800 rpmI have seen pictures in this forum coin standing on steering wheel. In my case it probably would come apart even when it's clued.
Do you noticed also increased vibration when drive or reverse selected? If yes, have you found any solution?

No it's not common, there has however, been discussions of vibration at around 1400rpm, not significant but evident.

I'd ask to try a couple of others at your dealers, providing they have 2.2Ds about.

Did anybody find a solution to this issue? Mine does the same. Drive fine in general, rpm needle is steady and even idles fine in Park or Neutral. When the gearbox is engaged, ie Reverse or Drive, the vibration at idle is felt. Strangely, with the car moving it's vibration-free.

I was wondering last night if the auto box mount might be worn, but then I've had lots of cars with worn gearbox mounts and none of them have shown the same behaviour as this car.

Definitely not normal, but maybe they meant to say it's "common". I used to have a 2001 Micra with the exact same issue too. It had an engine light on for the lambda sensor, which I never replaced...which made me think of fuel delivery on the Evoque. My plan was to replace the main fuel filter and then lambda on this car at some point.

However, soon after buying the car/making my post above, I threw in a bottle of diesel fuel system cleaner (Redex) and to be honest, I've either gotten so used to it that it doesn't bother me, or it has improved enough for me not to notice it...I'm not sure which one it is. Getting a notification for this thread made me remember all of a sudden. I'll make a note to pay attention to it when I'm sat in the car next. Might even throw in another bottle of fuel system cleaner too.

Does the Evoque have standard engine mounts or "smart" ones that work off engine vacuum ?
The reason I ask is the XE has these types of mounts which can fail after a few years causing a bad vibration at idle.
Fix is to replace the mounts or check the pipes which can sometimes come loose.

How long have you had the car and how long has it been doing this, very strange
