How do you scroll through your phone contacts using the steering wheel? Handbook says to press the green phone button and the using the side arrows it should scroll through your recent call list. But when I do this it only changes the audio station and doesn't affect the phone book. Very dangerous taking hands off the wheel to touch the screen panel searching for a phine number. Any help?

I have never tried that - I use the voice command "call ...." which works fine excepting for one of my daughters who put her contact name in my phone as two pictures of a horse - confuses the hell out of the car and comes up on the screen as a line of ????

Theres something wrong there are you sure you are using the correct buttons? MY15 car does this.

If you phone is connected,
On the 3 buttons to the left of the airbag cover under the left steering wheel spoke, the button with the green telephone on it should bring up your recent calls list.
If you keep the button pressed in it will bring up your whole telephone book stored in the phone.
Now on the small cluster of buttons on the left, you need to use the - (down) button to scroll to your contact that you want to call.If you go past the contact use the + (up) button.
Perhaps you have been using the > (forward) button? that will change the radio station or flick on to the next track of your media.
When your chosen contact is high lighted on the screen you have to push the green telephone button again. Red one to end the call.

So,I just got back in having been driving the Evoque, safe in the knowledge that the advice I gave in the last post would be bang on.....
Only it wasn't !! How long have I had an Evoque?

My apologies...the >> button is the one you need but if you have the contacts displayed on the screen it shouldn't change the audio.

Reading this again,

Here is how mine works...
If I have not cleared my 'recent calls' list on my iPhone they will display on the screen in the centre of the dashboard when I hit the green phone button. Then the >> button will scroll downwards.

If I have cleared my 'Recent calls' list on the phone, it will not work.

Now, regardless whether I have anything in my recent calls on my phone, holding down the green button for longer accesses the full phone book.
