this is my daughters car L538 2.2D SD4 UK SPEC
i have read the newbie bit and will get around to taking photos of the car but for now here is the pick of the headlight control unit from landrover . its not the ballast its the control unit itself no. 6 in the pic

so if i think this is correct must be inside under knee airbag on uk drivers side ?

just for updates this unit is under the glove box passenger side in the uk tight up under glovebox which needs removed to gain access and against the left side, here is a photo to help, also found out this is a vin related module does store it and throws a vin related code if not edited but works fine.

well i can only go with what mine has
take glove box out higher up about another 8 inches tight up against the the side and behind the white material its there
mine also has that adjustment beside the boot relaease button but i do have a headlight control unit , there are also 2 types on headlight control unit at least i think i read somewhere one is in the boot in the left panel on the side same place as the key module .
think i have a spare of each
so in uk these parts are here
