Timing chain little noisy on cold start

I thought mine sounded a bit like a tractor this morning when I went out to it. I had started it @ 20mins earlier with the remote app. Mine has done just over 20k. I will keep an eye on it & probably mention it next time it’s at the dealers.

Well I always thought a timing chain is a non service item unlike a cam belt, timing chains are expected to last the life of the car.
As some of you know, my other car is an RCZ it’s a MKII but the MK I was known to have faulty timing chain tensioners.
This is another example of a car manufacturer knowing there is a problem, but rather than recalling the cars involved, they waited until each owner brought their car in individually & then charged for the replacement.
The replacement parts were modified - in itself an admission that the original ones were not fit for purpose.
Fortunately, they fitted the modified version as standard on the MKII so I haven’t had any issues.
The cost was a lot less than fit the Evoque though, the entire kit including chain & tensioners was I think @£600 ish.
