Hi guys I have a 2014 evoque 2.2 auto coupe
I have purchased a new starter motor, tomorrow I intend to change it !!!!
Anybody got any useful information to how I should approach please ....

Start by disconnecting the battery! Seriously, not too much of a faff - you have to remove it to lock the flywheel when changing the timing belt so just a minor part of that job. Just two or three bolts plus a couple of wires. Depending on how tall you are, you might find it easier if you have something like an upturned milk crate to stand on.

Oh so nothing great then !!! It just looks so daunting when you’re looking in on it... I can bearly get my hand near it so surly some of its tackle as to come off, filter box etc,
The last one I had change was a cortina 30 odd years ago

with a alcoholic wipe or steriliser if it’s made in china?
