Hi all, I searched pages on the forums and haven't found the answer so asking here.

the lettering on the start/stop button ignition switch is not straight, can I just take a trim pry tool, pop it off, twist it back into position? or does it require removing the entire dash?

Or can I twist it in place without breaking it by moving the outer ring?

I tried with some plastic spoons to rotate it around but they broke haha. So before I damage the button I'd appreciate someone's experience.

Thanks in advance.

I would think that it is only a push fit, just a guess though.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I got some trim tools today and it does not pop off. I quit before I broke more pieces in there.

So once I get a chance I'll remove the dash and get to it that way...

That may be the best move, hopefully in the meantime another forum member may be able to give the answer. (y)

Assuming the picture of the Start Button from the service manual is accurate, looks like it goes in from the front of the dash, but once the spring loaded tabs on the side pop out, the only way to remove it would be from behind the dash:(
