Hi everyone,

I am a complete newbie here - have to apologize in advance for my stupid question.

I am looking to buy a used evoque (my wife is really in love with its looks!) Whilst browsing the ads, I found one which seems ok, but on the pictures posted by the seller it shows a strange red warning triangle next to the auto stop-start disabled symbol - see the picture.

I tried google search for various warning messages, but could not find anything related. Can someone please tell me what this warning means? Of course, I can ask the seller, but I am not sure if I can trust them

That red triangle is a general fault warning. It's often just a weak battery, which is common from lots of short trips. I'd get it checked before buying.

I just found some discussions about battery drain being a common problem of Evoques... oh dear! I was initially looking at petrol Evoques, as we are mostly doing short trips (shopping), and only occasionally (once in a month or so) some longer journey. But now it looks like we may be in trouble even with a petrol evoque!

Would not panic over this one, it can illuminate for numerous reasons like a door open for instance, did you have your seatbelt unbuckled whilst the car was idling & stationary? (Or front passenger seatbelt if the seat was occupied)

From the pic the engine is running and probably sat with the door open to take the pics.
If you go to view the car recreate that very scenario see if it comes on!!
