Hi Jonezy87 When I asked at my dealers they said it was the 4 wheel drive sorting itself out, mine only does it on really tight turns you don't notice it otherwise.

Do you know that a wheel is actually locking/skidding or is this another example of the infamous skidding or "chuffing" noise? Mine occasionally suffers from this but I haven't got round to mentioning it to the dealer yet. There is a very helpful youtube video where someone actually managed to capture the noise. Here is the link...you hear it right at the beginning:

It can also be the "Ackerman" effect which can appear with wider tyres on full lock.

I think its the L/H Rear on left hand turns and R/H on right hand turns but its only on tight corners never otherwise but as I am driving difficult to tell what's happening I take it its the diff winding up a bit.
