Not an Evoque P300e I'm afraid...

I was scratching around for something to watch last night and went back to re-watch some of Harry's Garage Range Rover videos.

His one of a Range Rover Sport P400e is worth a look (from last December). I'm guessing the tech will be similar in an Evoque?
Interesting to hear his thoughts on 'hybrid' cars and the EU etc. as well.

While I'm posting...
He also test drove an early petrol Evoque back in the day:

I think the tech is different between the Evoque and Sport. In the sport the electric motor powers the full drive train whilst in the Evoque the electric only powers the rear wheels, all wheel drive is when both ICE and electric motor are working in combination.

Harry's video exposed the push for hybrid tech for what it is, a way for all car makers to save money. From January 2021 they pay €95 for every car made per gram of CO2 by which they exceed their emissions target. This is tough on Land Rover because, even with a higher target of 130 g/km (the standard is 95 g/km), it means that a V6 or V8 attracts a 'fine' of about £22K. Shipping a half dozen p300e or p400e PHEVs is seen as one way to balance the books.
