Hi All ,
Looking for advice please
Just had an amber triangle and the message "Incorrect Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality Detected," followed by "Do not restart in 500 miles."
I had a look in the service menu which says 500 miles left but I was unaware as there was no previous warning given. When I last looked about 2 weeks ago there was at least 5000 miles left before the recommend top up and I've done no where near that since.
I rang the dealer and asked if I could pop in and get ad blue topped up under my 5 year service plan (although not in Warranty) and he said it was likely the system would need draining and refilling and could cost £300! When asked why he said it was sometimes a result of over filling but they last filled it and that was 8 months ago so that's unlikely.
Does all this sound plausible or should it simply be a top up? £300 sounds way over the top if in fact a drain and refill is required at all.
Any thoughts/advice appreciated. It's going in tomorrow morning!
Thanks,
Rowbot
