Hi, I am new to the Evoque. Having had four Landrovers (2x Freelanders and 2x Discovery 4s), I bought my first Evoque Edition, 2023 plate. (2ltr Diesel, Automatic)
I have read through the forum entries and seen many posts on Auto Mode for headlights, but my query is different.
I am not talking about DRL. The on line manual did not give me the answer either. The switch on the steering wheel is spring-loaded with the usual sidelights, headlights, auto and off settings. I do not like the auto mode with the lights coming on when it is not quite dark yet. But I seem to be unable to de-activate the auto mode. The little white indicator in the instrument panel keeps coming on. After I turn the stick on the steering wheel to off, this white light usualĺy goes off for a few seconds, but keeps coming on after a while, meaning that the headlights will, of course, come on again when the outside light fades or ehen you drive through a forest. Can you disable the auto mode, for once and for all?
