Hi all!

I've been a lurker here for a couple of months but I thought I'd pop up and say hi to everyone since a lot of posts on here have already helped me out.

I got my 2013 RRE in October last year and I'm still loving it - minus the common issues I've had that I've seen posted on here too. (Rear camera fog, jerking gears, squeaky seat, rattles in the back etc.. lol)

I don't have any photos on my computer that I've taken myself but I do have these from the original advert when the car was up for sale. I've since added a couple of tiny tweaks to it such as new lettering, fake bonnet grills (I know...) and window rain deflectors.

Needs gloss black diffuser now and black and silver land rover badges instead of those dreadful factory green ones!

Thanks everyone! Well it does look nice and shiny when it’s cleaned on a Sunday but after 10 minutes driving it’s covered in salt from the road again! Roll on summer!!

4WD I know what you mean, luckily mine came with the black and silver badges already. But I kinda like the silver diffusers I think it makes it look mean haha.

where would anyone suggest acquiring the black landrover badge? this thread has made me realise that the green badge will stick out like a sore thumb on my upcoming order..

Your Evoque looks great, I really like the black and silver contrast on the bumpers, I wouldn’t change it!
A good dual action polisher, time, wax and the paint will be almost as good as DKZ

Thanks CoolBlue I do love it. As soon as the milder days arrive I’ll definitely be giving it a good polish and wax. Somebody has bumped into it while it was parked up and drove off leaving quite quite a few scratches and a broken wheel arch trim which I’m going to need to have fixed soon So now the paintwork isnt looking too good at the moment.

So annoying isn’t it, almost the same damage happened to ours a few years ago, luckily the trim just pushed back in......I had scratch insurance on the car at the time and they did a great job on the drive....no idea how much it cost but think it would have been around £120 from what the guy implied.........later needed the whole bumper doing But thats when SWMBO was going through her dodgems stage

Yeah it’s so annoying. I know accidents happen but to drive off without saying anything is low!

The trim won’t push back in because all the plastic plugs have snapped. A RR specialist has quoted me just over £300 to have the trim replaced and the paintwork fixed. 😩

Sounds a decent price with new trim.....the trim does come up on ebay for about £50 for the larger one (not sure about the smaller).......there are always Evoques being broken ;-)

The problem is even if it was declared by the person doing it and you where not in the car your insurance premium would get hit next year as you will then be deemed as being more likely to be in an accident.....insurance is an arse.........ask me how I know as it happened to SWMBO and the old codger who hit her left a note and insisted on insurance.......her insurance went up the next year by more than the cost of the repair which was about £150 if done ourselves......in hindsight I wished he had just driven off but thats the farce of insurance !.......hope that makes you feel a little better

Ahhh yeah I guess you’re right. Even with no claims protection it still goes up. I’ve ordered some replacement clips from eBay so I will try to clip it all back in myself but I’m sure it’s actually snapped so it will need to be done. I’ve just had a service and a gearbox service and update so the bodywork will have to wait until I’ve saved up a few more pennies first. 🙁

Yeah the red just seems to pop when it’s clean and the sun hits it. These are from earlier today after a good scrub!
