I'm looking to buy some GAP insurance, to cover the difference in the event of a claim should my evoque be stolen/written off,
Have any members got any info regarding companies, cost, etc, etc, any advice would be great.
For example my first net search brought up directgaps website. For return to invoice gap insurance based on a purchase price of £45000 for three years with a max claim of £20000 it quotes £143 which is a hell of a lot cheaper than what dealers quote.
(i assume this is a reputable site, its simply the first one i came to on doing a search)
In my opinion, it's a bit like extended warranties, a waste of money, you can have too much insurance. Be sure to minutely read the small print. One policy I looked at specifically excluded the car being written off after the keys were lost or stolen which for me is the most likely reason it will happen.
just done mine today, back to invoice for three years cover max difference £25k ( which should cover even if the bottom drops out of the market). paid £149very small price to pay for the peace of mind of knowing if it gets totalled I'll be back in to a new car without having to dig too deep in pockets
Those prices look good, but this is a return to invoice price. There is also a vehicle replacement option which costs more but assumes a new vehicle will go up in price over the period of cover, I've opted for that.
i bought a 10 litre ad blue from Aldi, i filled my ad blu tank up unwittingly to the top as i thought it needed it, ( no message to fill just me being over zealous), will that be a problem as I have read on here not to over fill,
I have a 2016 Range Rover evoque se tech, my amber light is on all the time whilst driving, it has happened a few times and been in to the dealers to be sorted In the past but today after 18 months it’s showing lit again, my ad blue is topped up and its passed it’s mot last week so it’s...
Next day after purchase I noticed Low Battery Alert, so my thoughts were the car stuck for a longer time at dealer's yard and battery needs charging. Normal thing. After few nex days of driving, both urban and motorway distances the alert hasn't gone so i decided to charge the...
My Evoque was in for its first Mot today. It should have been in last week but my local main dealer had an issue with some of their Mot testing equipment so I had to go to an independent garage and in some ways it turned out to be lucky if you call failing lucky. Yes I dropped it off this...
Have an issue that is driving me mad, where the battery on a Evoque 2012 dies quickly but while waiting for a new one to arrive, I find the rear lights (tail lights and number plate lights) are staying constantly on and the internal lights are just about illuminating too. They are obviously...
