Hi, I've noticed recently that when driving when i floor the pedal the car revs high but doesn't accelerate, as its an auto the local garages want it in for diagnostics, i've tried an OBD fault reader and not getting any errors back, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

If the Engine speed increases but the car speed doesn't then the drive is not engaged somewhere, that could be the Clutch in the Auto Box or the Haldex unit sticking open, other than the Gearbox reset whch might be worth a try, have a search on here for the procedure, I think you'll need someone to take a look.

Was the car hot when it happened? If the oil
is degraded it may not transmit the drive correctly and ‘flare’.
an oil change may help if it has some mileage on it.

I used my laptop and the JLR SSD software to pull up any fault codes, one was for a gearbox module miss-communication so cleared those, I also did the gearbox reset i found in another post on here and the issue seems to have gone for now as well as the flat spot when pulling off.

Its due a service in 700 miles so will get that booked in and done soon.
