Hello to all.
A quick question please, be kind this is my first question.....!
I've searched the forum, and called on google to lookfor a way for an ownerto disable the auto-fold option of the mirrors to prevent them freezing in the closed position.
So far, it appears that deactivation can only be done by a dealer, which is what it states in the manual.
I'll note here that there appears to be conflicting reports as to whether the change disables the power fold functionaltogether or just on lock.... but the majority view seems to indicate the just on lock option should work.
The default advice seems to be fold them manually before locking the car, that way they don't automatically unfold on unlock giving us time to assess the amount of preventative de-icing that may be neccessary.... which is ok, but I'd still prefer just to be able to leave them unfolded and avoid the issue altogether.
So my question is basically does the above sound right? Is there really no hidden menu or combination of buttons which allows us to do this short of taking it back to the dealer?
Thanks for reading
