We have 2 policies with direct GAP but today received a letter saying the company is in liquidation. It's a complex letter but I have no idea what it really means! Fortunately my Evoque has landrover GAP at a bargain price.
my husband and son have direct GAP cover . could anyone advice what this means. I think it means we are not covered! Thanks

Yep it likely means you have no cover as there will be no company to claim from but insurance should be underwritten so it will depend on the exact situation and who the underwriters were, and you may have to apply to recover your payment from the Administrators of the liquidation or if you had a claim. Normally the Administrators will write explaining what the situation is.

But I would continue as if it's lost money, and there is no cover, until such time you hear more or get someone to interpret the letter.
