Hi guys, new to this. Ordered a Dynamic SD4 5 door around early July. Gone back a couple of weeks to a build date next week I think though will seek confirmation Friday. If it goes out to Jan, sorry but I am going to a X6 or maybe another CLS which is what I have now.

I have gone with all the toys, Lux Pack which gives you almost everything, adaptive Xenons, heated steering wheel, tyre pressue monitors (why!!!) and all in black with ivory black interior. Have to say I am really looking forward to it. The car looks fantastic and despite the smirking forom colleagues at work I can't wait.

One question is, I drive circa 40k miles per annum, mostly motorway. Just wondering what the experience is from others who have clocked up over 5000 miles so far in terms og MPG. If I do have to got to an X6 MPG not as good but Beemers usually deliver what they say +/- a few miles

Hi Geogeo. I've done about 3K miles in an SD4 auto now and average MPG is 33.5. A bit disappointing but I still love the car !!

The Range Rover Evoque has been named Stuff Magazine's 2011 Car of the Year at the prestigious Technology of the Year Ceremony in London. The 4x4 overcame stiff competition from the Ferrari FF, Ford Focus, Renault Twizy, Nissan Leaf, and MINI Coupé to claim the prize.

The new Evoque was praised for features such as its terrain response system. This adapts the set-up to cope with conditions such as sand and mud. The judges were also impressed by the 825W Meridan audio system and the dual-screen. The latter allows the driver and passenger to see different images on a single display, at the same time.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Stuff Magazine Editor, Will Findlater, said: "For combining the off-road capabilities of a Range Rover and leading technology with the desirability of a Blade Runner space car, the Range Rover Evoque just had to win it for us."

Land Rover Design Studio Director, David Saddington, added: "The Stuff Gadget Award means a lot to us at Land Rover and it is fantastic to win Stuff Magazine's inaugural Car of the Year Award. I am really happy to pick it up on behalf of the entire Land Rover team who put so much hard work into the design and engineering ""“ it is great to be recognised for leading edge and innovative technology wrapped in such a fantastic design."
