Ok, for no apparent reason ( that I know about at least) the Red Light of Doom (aka Charging Circuit Fault with a red battery icon) came on the dash. Shock horror! got the battery and alternator voltages checked and they are fine (12.5v and 14v respectively). Even reset the ECU using a Hawkeye, but still, this icon of death remains. Before I give in and take the long drive of shame to the dealer, has anyone got any experience or good ideas to try out?
Just so you are aware I'm not a guessing sort of person and the electrical measurements were taken using a DVM by a degree qualified electronics engineer - not some muppet off the street. Jeees these things seem far too complicated for what they are.
TIA.
