check any electrics you may of unplugged and if you are getting a good flow
from each injector when you crack them off while turning it over try a tow start
and the egr wont stop it starting.

It is almost certainly an air lock. I've had this on Ford TDCi engines. I had to put a large priming bulb in line and pump like crazy to get all the air out, then quickly remove it to stop the fuel draining back to the tank.

I've seen people putting an air line into the fuel tank with a rag wrapped around it to push the air through the filter. I think you have to push quite a lot through to get all the air out.
