I have a 2016 evoque which went into limp mode, I took it to a garage and they said the dpf was blocked and that it should be replaced. Is there a cheaper option?

Thanks in advance

You can get them chemically cleaned.

Or try a dpf cleaner in the fuel...

Might mean a lot of driving in limp mode though!

Hi Olivia
Did you take it to an LR garage (not necessarily the main dealer, but an independent specialising in LR)?
When this happened to us two years ago the indy LR garage managed to "force a regen" and it has been fine since.
This involved them taking it on a 24 mile/45 minute drive but that's all I know (i.e I don't know if they used an additive or what revs they took it up to). They did say that it doesn't always work but in our case it did. I should have thought the garage would at least attempt it rather than say you need a new dpf.

Thank you so much, I didn't know that was possible!

I've booked in with a company I found on google to come have a look at it
