Hi all,

Just been to the garage in my wife's 2012 Evoque (Dynamic) car to have the AC re-gassed. They've done it but the mechanic says the valve on the filler pipe is leaking coolant and needs tightening. His tool wouldn't fit. Nor will a standard valve tool from Halfords.

What tool do I need to tighten the valve? Where can I get one?

Anyone know?

AS far as I know they are the same size as the tyre valves on the big earth moving equipment, cranes etc. eBay a/c valve tool.
Seems odd that an air conditioning specialist doesn’t have one and even more odd that they left the system full knowing it was leaking and probably empty by the time you get it repaired.

Yeah, not an AC specialist but F1 autocentres. Still I thought it was poor too. They've offered to refill it for free it we order the tool. All a little odd but thanks! I'll get one of those now I know it's not Evoque or LR specific or anything.
