I just happened to use the link in my previous How to check for recalls thread for someone else, not even an Evoque, but while I was there I noticed there is a MY20 recall!

THE EMERGENCY CALL SYSTEM DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE REGULATED REQUIREMENTS

Recall type Safety recall

Reason for recall
The Telematics Service Delivery Platform has incorrectly configured the in-vehicle eCall phone number.
How to check if the vehicle is recalled
Contact the local LAND ROVER dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
How the manufacturer will repair
Update the Telematics Service Delivery Platform.

Could be worse, but worth sorting if you have this model year.

They told me when mine went in last week they had checked, and there was ”nothing outstanding” on mine 🤔

It must not apply to all MY19/20 or the dealer was telling me porkies, but I can’t think why they’d do that.

It’s on 23000 affected models I believe, you ring and see if you’re affected , I thought they would of written to the customers

Written to customers, like they did with the steering rack or oil dilution faults

No this will be a quick and cheap fix , well by JLR standards... bit like a phone update....I’d imagine
Wouldn’t of had this problem if they used Apple and iOS in there design .. how good would it be to have a iPad built iinto your car...

I think there is a working alternative if you can't get this fixed quickly.
Apparently if you take your phone out and dial 999 it does the same thing.
Sort of............:)

Agreed Donna, if only JLR had asked apple to develop their infotainment system or somehow integrate iOS then we'd see less problems, we never have had the oil dilution issue if they had
