You have my sympathy! As you say, it's not so much the technical side of things, but the lack of customer service that is really annoying. To be fair, a knocking sound can be very difficult to pinpoint - in my experience it can go through a number of technicians until it finds someone who remembers a previous one and how they sorted it.
@Mable I too have a knocking noise from the rear nearside when driving slowly - up to about 30mph. Sounds a bit like the old loose exhaust pipe that all my cars seemed top develop sooner or later back in the old days. I can't find anything loose, and have just put it down to having a "bangy" suspension - after all it's a Land Rover...

That’s exactly the same as mine, I’ve emptied the whole boot including parcel shelf boot floor and everything in it but its still there, mentioned it to Land Rover numerous times but they say they can’t hear anything 😤
Just have to live with it.
