Are these the same engine?

If so, how come the 190 is £1000 dearer than the 150.I'm thinking I'll get the 150 and remap it for less than £1000

I guess they are both Ford engines?

AND 150 is really 150ps = 148bhp!!

I am pretty sure that you cant get a TD4 in auto can you?

I know this then introduces additional cost but it is a great auto box - and smoother than my last BMW for sure.

I just found out that it is the same engine. The 190 is not much faster anyway 10.3 secs vs 9.5 secs for 0-62 so I'll stay with the 150 and chip it maybe later.

But I can still get it remapped for about £400 at a specialist.Only difference will be that I don't have 2 tail pipes?

It is true - and I am a fan of remapping - it totally transformed 2 previous cars I had - a Touareg which was a totally different car after being done and the a 330D beemer - which was an M3 killer afterwards. On such a new car which is likely to be recalled for 'upgrades' in the near future though I'm not sure its a brilliant idea is it worth it for £600?

Contrary to popular belief a 330d (of course remapped) will never be an m3 killer.
