I tried to read related posts but not sure what service everyone received from LR service partners. my car did 8500 miles, showed up 'service required in 1500 miles' warning and have 5 yr LR Service pack.
I called to book my car in for a service, lady on phone said. Its not an actual service 'a fault warning only'.- one hour job. They will visual inspect the vehicle and check oil, change filter if needed. Confused

She's correct.   Oil and filter change only.   Servicing needs done every 2 years.    Mine got the oil and filter change at around 9500 miles and has done less than 1000 miles since.   It's booked in for early next month for it's first service using the service pack.

Mine also had an oil and filter change at around 8,500 miles and like XZ4, is due for its 'full' 2 year service in November with only another 1,500 miles on the clock!

I had the same - took it in, they checked it for the day, refilled the AdBlue, reset it and didn't charge me anything - that was a nice surprise

Got to 17,000 miles before the 1st service light came on again - booked in and charged £540 for the priviledge - ouch :(

21k Service = £285
Oil Filter = £10.50
Oil Drain Plug = £4.32
Pollen Filer = £16.48
Oil (5.9L) = £103.25
Environmental Charges = £10
Sundries = £10
Subtotal = £439.55

Insurance Waiver fee for loan car = £10
Tax = £89.91

Total = £539.46

about double what i was originally expecting - but i guess thats 2 years of ownership so £270/yr is not that bad - not great, but could be worse

Mine will be either gone by the next service at 4 years or if I decide to keep it I shall use an indie so not too bothered really.

The apprentice oily rag will do the service. I think after my 5 year service plan runs out if I still have the car ,I will find a good specialist LR garage. Can't be right to charge that amount for a basic service.

Wow! £539. Ouch!

That really makes the 5 year service pack at £499 a great big main dealer bargain.
Kind Regards
David

Yep - i didn't go for the service pack thinking 2 services in 4 years wouldn't be too bad. Silly me

I didn't realise the engine oil was taken from the Cantonese Lesser Spotted Unicorn and combined with unobtainium before being poured into the engine by Victoria Beckham herself.

I may try to supply my own oil for the next service.....

Don't worry the next service will be even dearer as they have to fit the gold bullion filled Fuel filter. Then there the services that have the silver loaded brake fluid changes as well!
